  • What is visiting care?
Visiting care provides a tailored package of support for those who need extra help to stay independent at home. Whether it's scheduled or unexpected, our adaptable visiting care service is available to assist you with household tasks, offer companionship, and more.
  • How much is visiting care?
The cost of visiting care can vary significantly based on several factors such as the level of care required, the number of care hours needed, the geographic location, and the specific services offered. Typically, visiting care services are charged at an hourly rate, and these costs can add up over time. Despite the potential for high cumulative costs, visiting care is often more cost-effective than moving to a care home. It’s important to thoroughly investigate and understand the specific services included in the fees to make an informed decision for yourself or your loved ones.
  • What can visiting care support with?
A visiting carer can assist with various tasks, such as housekeeping, personal care, companionship, and many other needs.
  • Is visiting care good value?
Visiting care often offers excellent value and can be highly cost-effective, particularly when compared to the expenses of moving into a care home. While the exact costs vary based on individual needs and location, receiving personalised care at home can be more affordable and efficient. This approach allows people to maintain their independence, avoid the higher costs associated with residential care, and receive tailored assistance that enhances their quality of life. However, it is crucial to thoroughly evaluate the specific services, rates, and available funding options to determine the cost-effectiveness of visiting care for your particular situation.
  • What training does Proalliance Care provide?
Our Care Professionals undergo comprehensive, award-winning training that equips them with the confidence, knowledge, and skills required to care for our clients. This training covers everything from basic mobility assistance to specialised courses in Dementia Care and End of Life care. Additionally, we offer opportunities to earn recognised industry qualifications, such as Levels 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care, among others. At Proalliance Care, every Care Pro benefits from a tailored training program and continuous education, including chances to acquire specialist knowledge, all designed to support their career advancement.
  • What are the benefits for the Care Professional role?
Our pay rates are above the real living wage Flexible working hours Paid mileage between customers Regular training and development 24 hour on call support
  • What is the cost of live-in care?
The weekly cost of live-in care can differ widely based on various factors, such as the type of provider, the individual care needs, and any specialised care required for complex conditions. At Proalliance Care, our Care Assessor will determine the weekly cost through a comprehensive assessment of your needs. This holistic evaluation considers not only your health requirements but also your lifestyle preferences. After the assessment, we will provide a clear weekly fee for the most appropriate live-in care package. This all-inclusive price ensures transparency, with no hidden costs, allowing you to understand and plan for the long-term financial commitment of care.
  • What can live-in care support with?
Your live-in carer will be fully trained to address all your specific care needs, from personal care and mobility assistance to providing companionship and help with household chores.
  • What is live-in care?
Live-in care involves a fully trained carer residing in your home, providing 24/7 support for continuous peace of mind. This carer will assist you according to a personalised care plan developed with your live-in care manager, ensuring you receive the tailored care you need whenever you need it.
  • What happens when my carer has time off or goes on holiday?
At Proalliance Care, we prioritise the continuity and consistency of care, recognising that our carers need sufficient time off for their well-being to ensure they can deliver the high-quality care you deserve. You will be assigned a team of two carers who will typically provide care in your home on a rotating schedule, usually working for two weeks at a time before switching. While this is our standard rota pattern, we also offer other options, such as a four-week working period followed by two weeks off. This team-based approach ensures that the same carers really get to know and understand you as an individual. If one carer needs a short break, we make every effort for the other carer to cover their absence, maintaining consistency of care. As part of our fully managed service, we have a rapid response and relief team of highly trained professional carers available to support you during your carer’s holidays or extended leave. These arrangements are planned and communicated well in advance to you and your family, ensuring that your care needs continue to be met seamlessly.
  • Can I bring my own furniture and personal belongings?
The properties typically come unfurnished, and we assist individuals in selecting their furniture. We also encourage tenants to personalise their living spaces according to their preferences, in line with their tenancy agreement.
  • Who will I stay with in supported living accommodation?
You might share the accommodation with one or two other people. You will have a say on who share the accommodation with.
  • What's the difference between supported living and residential care?
In supported living arrangements, individuals have their own home and tenancy agreement, which makes them responsible for their living costs and bill payments, though they receive assistance from staff. This setup allows for greater independence and personal space. In contrast, those in residential care do not have these responsibilities, as their living arrangements and associated costs are managed by the care facility.
  • Who regulates Proalliance Care's supported living services?
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates our supported living services, and our internal quality team also monitor our programs. This dual oversight ensures a robust and responsive system, allowing us to provide the highest level of support to individuals.
  • Who is eligible for supported living?
You may be eligible for supported living if you are above the age of 18, and need support to live independently. Proalliance Care supports adults with a range of conditions, presentations and needs, such as: ✔️ Mental health needs ✔️ A forensic background ✔️Complex needs ✔️Physical disabilities ✔️Behaviours that may challenge ✔️An acquired brain injury (ABI)
  • Can friends and family visit?
Friends and family are welcome to visit at any time.
